Jenkins & Spierling RULE Byron
Races 9 & 10 of the 2014 Midwest Super Comp Season were held at Byron Dragway this past weekend. On Saturday, 25 Cars made the call for the first round led by #1 Qualifier Warren Goetsch. After four rounds of tough, close racing the stage was set for the final round to be run under the rented lights. Blasting into the darkness were Gary Jenkins in his dragster and Chuck Graves in his silver T-Bird. In such a close race, it was Gary Jenkins receiving the win light and the cash & prizes that go with it. Chuck took runner-up honors and also the 5NINES 50 Under 50 Prize.
On Sunday, 24 Cars were all paired up for 1st round. Still on a hot streak, Chuck Grave Jr. was #1 Qualifier. Today’s races were run in day lights with Jeff Spierling besting Wally Pote for the Win. Jeff Spierling was the winner of the Isthmus Engineering 50 over 50 award.
Our next race will be on August 23rd & 24th at Union Grove Wisconsin. The track will be open after 2 for Big Cars on Saturday with our first time run after 4. We will race 1/8 mile. With such a tight points race, it will be in your best interest to be there!
