CHAD LAMONT – 2008 CHAMPION

Chad Lamont was crowned the 2008 Midwest Super Comp Champion at the 21st Annual Awards Banquet. Chad edged out 2nd place finisher Warren Goetsch by less than one round. Right behind Warren was Kimbra Fuesting taking 3rd place honors. Rounding out the top ten in the closest points race in memory were Dave Livesey, Pat Lamont, Jeff Spierling, Ben Baer, Cheryl Kolinek, Ron Smeeton, and Wally Pote.

"Rookie of the Year” honors went to Ron Smeeton. Lamont Truck & Trailer Sales and RBK Enterprises shared “Sponsor of the Year” honors. Voted by his fellow competitors “Sportsman of the Year” was Randy Etheridge. Voted “Crewperson of the Year” was Carl Lemke who crewed for the Lamont Family. The “Best Appearing Car” award went to Mike & Laurie Kuhn’s Mopar.

As usual the banquet was a way too much fun event.
