Note from Carolyn

Hi everybody!!! It’s just me, Carolyn. You all didn't’t think I was going to write anything about the Byron Race and Loyalty Shootout now did ya? I usually don’t brag, but I think you’ll all agree I have some bragging rights here about MY AWESOME MEN. And I mean all three of them. This was a real nail-biting weekend since there were several racers in the race for the championship. Unfortunately, my son Chad and Kimbra didn’t do so well on Saturday. Chad kept yelling at Ryan every time he would come back from winning a round and yell; “Ryan, YOU’RE TAKING OUT ALL THE WRONG RACERS!!!” Well we all know Ryan had Dave in the finals and FINALLY, even though it was the final, RYAN TOOK OUT DAVE!!! That helped Chad. Sorry Dave. Ryan won the MWSC race Saturday night and guess who won the Loyalty Shootout? None other than my other awesome son, Chad. That was a great night for us. I really feel weird bragging like this, cause we like all you guys. I just wanted to say also that if it wasn’t for Carl, Jaclyn and Steve we would have been lunatics. Thanks you guys. On Sunday, I’m surprised Carl or I didn’t have a heart attack. Poor Carl… Every time one of our guys came back from winning a round, Carl would act like he was having a heart attack. He was going nuts ALL DAY. Of course, Pat got Kimbra first round. Can you imagine of all the cars there they would have each other? Pat needed to take her out for Chad and that’s exactly what he did. We all honestly felt really bad about that one. Well, maybe not Chad. Pat ended up having Ryan in the semis and believe it or not I really thought Ryan would give it to his Dad. I didn’t talk to either one of them before the race. Well, even though Ryan lost to his Dad, he was not going to give it up that easily. He lost with a -.003 light. So just so all of you know, Ryan DID NOT give the race to his Dad. Guess whom Pat had in the second round? None other than Dave. I have never felt so much anxiety in my life. I leaned into Pat in his racecar and told him that if he didn’t take out Dave…well I can’t tell you the rest, but PAT TOOK OUT DAVE!!! I couldn’t believe it! In the finals, Pat won against Lacey. This just made for the awesomest racing weekend ever for the LaMont Racing Team. With a little luck from Dad and Ryan over the weekend, CHAD WAS OUR MWSC CHAMPION!!! I was SO proud of all three of them. All you racers know that you all have to have a little bit of luck some of the time to win, but Chad was an awesome driver all season long. We’ve all been there when we’re on our way home and you go over it again and again all of the what if’s. More often then not we’ve been there so I just want to say THANK YOU for being happy for Chad, for Ryan, and for Pat. That means SO much to us. And just so you know we would be happy for you too. Bye everybody. See ya all at the banquet. Don’t forget we have the after-party suite and I better see all of you there partying with us. Ya hear me, Kim!
