Fellow Racers, Folk Family Racing, Involved in a Horrific Accident

Our thoughts are with the Folk Family Racing as they experienced a horrific accident on Wednesday May 16th near the Kentucky-Tennessee border. Midwest Super Comp is very relieved that the Folk Family and Friends are safe and sound. Midwest Super Comp also sends their condolences to the victim that and was killed in the accident. Unfortunately Folk Family Racing did lose their entire trailer as they were on their way to a race in Bristol, Tennessee.

We will be racing this Saturday and Sunday, May 19 & 20 at Byron Dragway. Gates open at 8 am first time run 10/10.30 both days. Parking available on Friday night. Looks like good weather.

SCHEDULE CHANGE

The July 14 and 15 races at Indy are cancelled. This is due to the track not honoring a previous mutual agreement on fees. We have reschedule these dates to Cordova Dragway on Saturday and Sunday, July 14 and 15. This is their $10,000 to win bracket race weekend with a band on Saturday night. Thank you to Scott for allowing us to race that weekend.

Gary Jenkins Gets First WIN!

The 25th Season got off to a strong start at Rte. 66 Raceway with Gary Jenkins getting his first win in Midwest Super Comp Competition.

The day started out cloudy, misty, and grey and ended up sunny & warm which matched Gary’s mood. Runner-up honors went to Chad Lamont. The number 1 qualifier at 8.904 was Chris Lancaster.

A big thumbs up to the Rte. 66 crew for providing a killer track surface from the first time run to the final.

Our next race weekend is at Byron on Saturday & Sunday May 19th & 20th!

A QUARTER CENTURY OF 1/4 MILES BEGINS

The 2012 season begins this Saturday, May 5th at RT.66 Raceway in Joliet. Gates open at 9 a.m. or before with the 1st of 2 time runs at approximatly 10.30. Pay your entry as soon as possible to Rich Kwas when you have a chance. We will park in the middle aisles in line with the entrance road.

This year if 20 or more cars are entered we will pay at least $1,000 to win! Round money will be the same as previous years with $75 going to second round losers.

2012 Bounty

On behalf of Graves Family Racing we have decided to put up a Bounty (take out the winner of the last race in first round) and receive a case of Castrol 20w-50 oil thanks to "CASTROL". The case has 3, 5-quart jugs in each case. Good Luck everyone this year.
